It's a true story!

A woman recalls, "My mother died when I was four years old. Almost a year later, my father remarried. I was my mother's only child. The woman my father married had three sons, and they all lived with us. My father treated them like his own, never showing any favoritism, even though I was his only biological child.

Five years later, my father passed away, and the true nature of my stepmother and stepbrothers emerged. They began to treat me harshly, beating me, insulting me, and turning me into a servant. My stepmother even prevented me from going to school or playing with friends. If I disobeyed, she would make me sleep without food for two days.

When I turned fifteen, my stepmother married me off to a very poor young man without any consideration for his background or character. She only wanted me out of the house so she could inherit my father's estate. I accepted my fate, prayed for kindness, and put my trust in Allah.

We moved into what seemed like a beautiful house, but it turned out to belong to a friend of my husband who was returning from abroad. We soon moved to my husband's real home, which was a dilapidated ruin. Despite the poor living conditions, I resolved to be patient and make the best of it.
